Around here, I'm afraid the term "Humanitarian" would be a synonym for "cannon fodder."
I think each faction would accuse the other of somehow prejudicing any mediator against them, and the war would be on again. If people don't believe that, just look at the posts that fly back and forth here when someone has an account deleted. The atheists accuse the Y!A moderators of being prejudiced in favor of Christians, and vice versa.
All I can say is, "(Fill in the blank with deity or impersonal expression of choice) help the poor person who volunteers to be the token Humanitarian." Sorry, but I ain't that brave.

Any one of us can be a humanitarian, I think the majority of the people that come to this site are to some extreme,we all are trying to help eachother from experience and knowledge .How more human could one be.

you're kidding, right???? a 'humanitarian?'...by whose measure, and how do you propose to define and label the 'factions'...and how do you propose to select a 'humanitatian'...what woulf be this person's function...something along the lines of a 'moderator' (heaven forbid) or are you talking about a 'babysitter?'...there are those on this site who already provide the voice of reason and respect...i'll take my chances with their influence
