I recently moved to a different state away from my bf of only 4 months. He wants to contine the relationship but so far he hasn't done much to keep us together. He barely calls me or texts me. I am usually the one who does it. He was going to fly down and visit me in July and meet me in SD in August, but now he has canceled for August. I'm assuming he isn't coming in July either now. Does anyone have any advice for me or comments?

I am the one who suggested we take a break since I was moving. But he insisted on staying together.

long distant relationships are work*
both ppl have to want to commit or it wont work.
seems like he is impatient and has already found things to do with his free time rather than call you.
i wouldn't give my 110% to this relationship as he's not even showing 1% of effort.
unfortunately, better to know now than waste your summer waiting, wondering if he's coming to visit*
he's already cancelled for aug....
time to move on..and if and when he has time to call you can just let him know you were tired of waiting and moved on with your life

I have been in a long distance relationship for 2 years. It takes alot of work from BOTH parties. If he is not willing to help make the relationship work, then it will fail no matter how hard you try. Both my boyfriend and I have had to make major sacrafices. He does nice hang out or talk to any girls and i do not with guys. We have had to limit how often we go out with our friends so that we have enough time to talk together. WE have had to build up a trust. If you think that your boyfriend is not up to the challenge of a long distance relationship then end it now before you get too involved.

If he really liked you he would call you sometimes too. He has already can celled and everything so it sounds like he wants to move on. I would stop calling him and see if he calls you. If he does it means he still wants to be with you. If not I would move on because long distance relationships are hard to manage. Good luck.

if he is interested he would be in contact a lot more and would keep his word as to when he would be coming --- im sorry i suggest he was just saying those things to keep you happy
