No I don't think they're being sensitive. I grew up in an area with almost no native British, and everyone I knew could take a joke well, even on themselves. But many racist jokes are actually insulting, and put people down. Same for sexist ones, or any kind of joke that attacks people personally. Theres' no need to do that with humour..it's unintelligent.

Humour helps us deal with these atrocities. If we can't laugh in the face of adversity we might as well all blow ourselves up! How can jokes about terrorists be racist? Terrorism is carried out by all races!

not at all im irish and weve been telling jokes about the troubles for years and they were about the terrorists on both sides anyway its a free country the muslims havent taken over yet
