The Army is again considering extending the deployment time of our Troops.

My question is would you enlist to shorten the time our Troops have to spend in the sandbox?

I would today even with my previous service time taken off, I'm over the age limit.

Those of us that can pull our weight and are willing should be allowed to do so, whether it be in a office here or just guarding supplies in the sandbox to fighting as long as we can pass muster!

I think those of us that have served & are not quite able to perform as well as youngsters should have a job that does not require full fledge fighting. There are many stateside jobs that us older folks could fill & still serve our beloved country.

at the beginning, thank you for serving. I agree that there are a number of roles that is crammed by utilizing those over the cutoff age, somewhat in rear detachment. From what I comprehend, particular personell could nicely be enlisted over the 40 two 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous cutoff age, somewhat JAG and medical. i'm not for particular in this, will could ask hubby (Recruiter). stable success with the contractor activity...you will definately prefer to be in shape in case you pass.

I was looking to enlist, but began to suffer from an illness. That would disqualify me from joining. I would enlist in a minute if I were to be able to, even in a "support" capacity is fine with me. Too bad the military won't take cases such as mine into consideration.

I've been retired for 13 years, but would sign up again if they would drop the silly requirement of age limitation.

I do have some physical limitations, but my heart is 100% for U.S.A. !!

I'm sure the military and I could work around any limitations.

I'm 52 and out of shape.

My background was Avionics (active) Signal (Reserve)

Let's see that makes me only as good as 3 monkeys (highly educated and trained insurgents). I think one 18 YO 11B is what.... the same as 10 monkies?

Let's go!
