im not afraid to die, i dont believe in heaven or hell, god or the devil, i believe if there is a hell, we are already there. where else would peole kill each other and be so cruel like we are on earth

I think you have a very valid point there, though the religious community will vigoriously deny it ! They will say they are the least afraid to die because they know they will be going to a better place (which is a contradiction in terms really because its kind of like they invented this better place to cushion the reality of dying and make it less frightening as they could not deal with nothingness)....
anyway, the bottom line being I know exactly where you are coming from mate!

I think it might be that they are trying to get a few points in the bank before they die. If there is a God I think you will be judged on your conduct rather than how often you prayed or went to church.

I don't think so. Religious people can still be afraid to die. It is a natural human reaction. The fear of the unknown.

i kinda understand wear your coming from because i had a friend who thought the same. I know i shouldnt say this but often times a person who is religous is in fear. I for example i am muslim and noticed the women who cover their hair are often times not religous but like to say they are when they sure as hell aren't

no, not because they're afraid to die, but u gotta understand that God gives us hope, and eternal life in the future( only if you believe in Him) . This life is nothing without God.

I follow Jesus out of love. I follow Jesus because He conquered the dead. I do not want to go to hell, but I follow Jesus because I choose heaven.

I'm a Christian because I love my Lord and Saviour. When He saved me, He gave me a new heart. It isn't religion that is taking me to Heaven..it's my acceptance of Jesus and what He did for me.
