don't waste your money. Get a set of underdrive pulleys take off the air silencer, bump up the timing and you will have a larger hp increase than putting on the cold air unit for half the price. If you want to spend money put in a rear gear in the 3.73 to 4.10 range you will definatly pick up on the low end.

I would do gears first, then exhaust. The stock exhaust is restrictive so you will notice a bigger change in power by replacing that first. A cold air intake should be one of the last things you do after installing a set of headers, that's when you will need it. As for gears, I have an '04 GT and had 3.73's installed and I love them, I would have gone 4.10's but I wanted to leave the possibility of adding a supercharger later on.

Go to sites like stangnet or other Mustang sites to get good info. The cold air will help get a little more air into the engine and it will be a little cooler too. This will increase hp a little. The biggest difference you will notice, is the increased noise from the intake. HP is somewhere like 10-15 hp at the engine. Good luck.

Yeah, go buy a new Z28. Oh yeah, they quit making those turds years ago.
The CAI will help more on a supercharged application. If you get one, make sure it is a true CAI, not an open element under the hood type. These draw in heated air from under the hood which hurts power. Get one that draws air from inside the fenderwell where the cooler air is.
