Of course having a real donkey talk, like in the Balaam story in the Bible would be interesting in and of itself! In fact it's amazing to me Balaam, in the story, thought nothing of a donkey talking to him. In fact, he argued with the donkey as if this was an everyday occurrence!

I love that story. I always felt so bad for the donkey, but I thought it was cool that God let her set Balaam straight.
