an anthropocentric viewpoint leads to an anthropomorphic image for god..
Our viewpoint regarding God's morphology is based upon postulates that god created us for a specific purpose and that the only way that things can be is the way that we, as a species perceive them to be, based on the outcome of that creative process. We have two eyes, thus god must as well, because a no-eyed or thousand eyed god is harder for us to feel close to, or one that operates freely in a 27-dimensional context...we are incapable of relating to the thousand-eyed or the 27-dimensional viewpoint

They mean these things;
1) Ability - unlimited
2) Imagination - original thought and creation.
3) Eternity - souls can span the entire universe not just the mundane realm
4) Free will - we can do what we want. We also take the consequence of it

Man looks like God which means God looks like a man.
You betcha I got a Big Big Big God, he's not sitting on a cloud though he is sitting on a throne that looks like a emerald.

No, that you have a mind, a body, and are able to think and do for yourself, and are there any other inhabitants of this earth better looking or more clever? We are the only species to dominate our environment. That is a pretty good image to be made in, isn't it?

God said let US create man in OUR image.
God then formed man from dust (flesh)
God breathed in life (spirit)
And man became a living soul.
Man was made more than one part he was made flesh and spirit as opposed to animals who are simply flesh and perish with their flesh.
Man has also an eternal spirit which is like God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit and they are ONE God.

An image is just a likeness, not an exact representation. We are like God in some ways (conscious, having intelligence, spiritual in our basic essence, etc.) and not like Him in others.

Since we are flesh and Jehovah and Jesus are spirit, we don't look like Dad. Instead we reflect his qualities. Just as when you see a boy and can telll from his mannerisms who is his daddy, our qualities of love, justice, wisdom, desire for peace reflect who are spiritual daddy is.
