I used to work in funeral home... and they are both just creepy. Embalming is so invasive and cold and cremation well, guess that's a little warmer... down right hot. I would personally rather be cremated, no need to take up all that room in a water proof box so I can get all pruny and weird looking.Wasted space and something to mow around, no disrespect all my family members are in cemeteries (the non living ones) And instead of having people come visit my grave I would prefer them to go somewhere I would enjoy or find comfort in to remember me, ashes to ashes dust to dust. But really it's just a personal choice. Either way it's just a body I guess. On a lighter note, when God comes back and raises the dead, I don't want to be the one all my friends look at and go... duuuude you look like crap...lol. :)

Cremation.
No longer does a body decompose as is natural. They pump it full of chemicals - including formaldehyde which is a particularly nasty chemical - to pollute the earth after the vault the coffin sets in fails. You are talking about tying up potential land for hundreds of years; land that could be used to make this country better by farming.

Either way, it has to be one of them in the end. It's subjective and personal. Some people hate the idea of being put into the ground to rot, while others hate the idea of being burnt to a cinder and return to ash. It's always been my standing that if a person dies with a deadly disease such as cancer, then it's terrible to bury that disease into the ground, it should be burned. Just my personal belief.

I choose cremation. Price for one. Why do you think cemetery owners can buy a new car every year? And funeral directors do even better.
Eccles. 9:5,10 tells us we will not be able to feel pain or pleasure in death.
They gave me my mom in a small cardboard box. I would rather be fertilize for some nice roses. Do something good.

Cremation...takes up less space and is environmentally better...my soul won't care what happens to my body at that point.

For Christians it's irrelevant.
Luke 9:60Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
