It depends on what you believe. Do you think you deserve more than a last breath for living the life of a good and decent person?

For the body, it probably is. But there seems to be something else inside us that may continue on. I think the ancient Egyptians were on to something. Everyone is familiar with the idea of a Soul. There is an energy inside us that may be able to continue somehow. I am not a scholar and I am not all that religious. But just from a practical standpoint, I would like to think there is some dimension that I maybe do not fully understand in which such things are possible.

For you as a living being? Yes, but your atoms are virtually indestructible and they disassemble and go onto become other things.
I like the idea that at an atomic level i still 'live on' in some sense. Looking forward to becoming a blade of grass, a fluffy cloud or some future creature that'll exist in a few million years from now. :-)

Opinions differ...my belief is life is eternal.
The word of God (the bible)says there will be a new heaven and a new earth. We will receive new bodies..all things will become new..the old has gone, and in the new Jerusalem there will be no more tears, no more pain, no more death, no memory of our old lives...you can read about it in Revelation, chapter 21:

anyone who has answered a definite yes or no is an idiot. how can we possibly know at all? as a human being, all i know is life. my only knowledge of death is that it is the end of my life as i know it. i could no more answer any questions about death as a blind person could answer questions about seeing. and you're all the same if you're truly honest with yourselves.

We are a spirit being- and we live forever - our body may die, but the real us- lives forever - where it lives- either heaven or hell, depends on what we do here on earth....
