Which U.S. city will Iran nuke first?

Iran will have enough refined uranium for a nuclear bomb in less than a year. The only way to stop Iran from nuking the U.S. is to use military action to destroy their nuclear facilities, and to destroy their whole regime so as to prevent them from using more secretive facilities in the future. Such an action has too much political opposition, so it will not happen. The iranians vote with bullets, not ballots, so they are not handicapped by a pacifist political contingent like the western countries are. Therefore, the United States WILL be nuked by Iran, and there is probably nothing that we can do to stop it.

However, we CAN place bets on which city or cities will get nuked first, to our personal monetary profit. It's like how the original nuke-testers at Los Alamos bet on how large the first nuclear blast would be. Iran will most likely transport nukes via ship, so they will most likely attack a coastal city or cities.

Which city or cities do you think that they will target with highest priority? Washington DC? Los Angeles? New York? Seattle? San Francisco? Somewhere else? Do you think that they will attempt to strike an inland target, such as Dallas? Do you think that they will try to make a coordinated strike that simultaneously obliterates several major coastal cities? Do you think that they will use cobalt-salted 'doomsday bombs' to make patches of the United States permanently uninhabitable? Do you think that they will use high-fallout nukes against areas with small towns, from which so many U.S. soldiers come?

Those are all interesting possibilities to bet on. What do YOU think they will nuke?

Funny how answerer #6 states the polar opposite of the truth, stating that I am ignorant. These are islamic fanatics that are accustomed to suicide-bombing. They are entirely willing to sacrifice themselves to destroy the United States. That is why we fear Iran, but not China. Duh, talk about ignorance.

I see that answerer #15 is trying to justify a nuclear attack against the U.S. . The main thing that the U.S. has done in the middle east is protect innocents, so it is clear that answerer #15 supports islamic theocratic aggression. Funny that answerer #15 accuses the U.S. of sabre-rattling against Iran, when Iran is the one that is building nukes to use against the U.S., and supplying Iraqi and Afghani insurgents with weapons to use against U.S. soldiers.

Wow. At least 4 people that want Los Angeles or Hollywood to be hit. It looks like Iran will have an easy time recruiting local non-middle-eastern people to act as their accomplices.

My bet would be New York, specifically Manhattan. A low-yeild device, just a few kilotons.

Iran would probably fire at New york or DC for terror purposive but by the time the nuke reached the atmosphere we would nuke the m back so bad the wouldn't be an Iran to worry about.

1. No delivery system
2. No warhead (yet)
3. Warhead has to be tested (hard to hide)
4. Then they have to build a second warhead.
5. Making us mad is not as dangerous as making Mr. Putin mad.

I have had dreams about the United States being bombed by a nuke. In my dreams it is always somewhere in the midwest. Think about it! The midwest would have the most ground hit by a nuke AND the midwest is where we get most of our food. Unfortunatly, my hometown is Omaha, NE so I am hoping I am wrong... :(

I think something else will happen before that so that will never happen. We monitor the area very well and it would be hard for them to move the material out of Iran w/o our knowing. Nuff said. Peace

2/ Ignore the lobbyists on the Hill and over-rule Israel for the 1st time in its history and help create a Palestinian State.

Iran doesn't have long range, intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching US soil, so you can get that out of your head right now. They'll probably nuke Israel first, and since Israel has nukes too, they'll fire back, and half of the middle east will be turned to glass, which will be a great start in my book.
