If you want to give your conure something to chew on, give him a mineral block. If your intention was to have the lava stone for entertainment, than get a distroy toy. Conures specificly love to tear up and distroy things.

it wouldn't hurt him if that's what your wondering. your bird may like it or hate it. you can also try cuttlebone as well as plenty of toys to keep beak and nails trim

it won't hurt him. Get him some other thiings to pllay and chew on. Nothing big and scarey, though.
