If Adam and Eve, and Cain and Abel were the first people on earth, then when Cain killed Abel, Cain went to Nod, and had sexual relations with his wife.....and had kids....And Seth (Adam and Eve's other son) had kids with his wife....How can that be when Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel where the first, and only people on earth??? Am I missing something here?

Thanks everyone!

Adam and Eve were the first people on earth like the Bible says. Then next came Adam and Eve's sons and daughters. It doesn't mention any of the daughter's names, but does mention the son's names; there were Cain, Abel, Seth. Back then; the brothers could have their sisters to be their wives(see Gen.11:29 and Gen.12:17 = talks about Abraham's wife while Gen.13:13; 20:2,5,12 talks about Sarah being his sister too.) So that's how Cain knew his wife because she was his sister.
ADAM
Genesis 2:7 = "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul."
Genesis 2:8 = "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden: and there he put the man whom he had formed."
EVE
Genesis 2:21-22 = "And the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man."

Know after Adam and Eve sinned; this is what God said in Genesis 3:16 = "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Cain and Abel mentioned in Genesis 4:1-2 = "And Adam knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel..."

In Genesis 5:3; we read that Adam begotten Seth.

Adam begat Sons and Daughters

Genesis 5:4’s end statement (below) declares that Adam begat sons and daughters. I believe Adam begat sons and daughters from the births of Cain and Abel throughout the one hundred thirty years prior to begetting Seth (Gen.5:3 below).

I believe the people of Nod where Adam’s offspring begotten during the hundred thirty years prior to Seth.

Gen.5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat [a son] in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

Gen.5:4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

God only told of the first account of creation. He didn't want to be redundant. He made others just like he did Adam and Eve.

In the beginning, the earth was without pollution. People didn't carry genetic diseases or defects..that came later.
So people were allowed to marry close relations.
Adam and Eve had many children and they married each other.

Who said they were the only ones? They had many offspring not mentioned by name in the scriptures.
