Because unfortunately they don't relise that they will get hurt or hurt others there just like anywhere. Some people have a hard time forgiving. That is why I love my church. My pastor will even tell you that you will get hurt here. So if you can't forgive then you will have problems. The whole time I have been going there I haven't been in any kind of a situation. It's awesome!!!

Read up on European History, it's fascinating.
I especially like the Second Babylonian captivity, and the following war between 3 popes.

Essentially, over the past 1000 years Christianity has been used as a TOOL of the STATES of Europe, as justification and reason for brutal wars and atrocities, committed against all other countries (including the other European countries).

Traditional Fundamentalist Churches are under attack becuase they cannot handle the truths that they teach. They can't explain the differences of the beliefs they teach. One God that is everywhere is in each of us. Most people are gradually maturing to understand this and are being outspoken about it and the myths are receding about the terror in afterlife or eternal damnation worship or those traditions. People are gradually left with less and less money to give to a collection basket of even unintended lies.

As people talk to each other, they are finding out that the parishoner who sat right beside them in church repeating over and over the same passages, deep down has an opinion of their own that conflicts with that which they have been swearing to to maintain social class over the years. Since it is beginning to be less and less profitable to do so, the truth is coming out.

They lack love among themselves as Jesus and his apostles reminded first century Christians. As Philippians 1:8-9 they were to abound with love along with accurate knowledge and full discernment.

In fact, 1Corint. 1:10 says in part, "you should all speak in agreement and there should not be divisions among you, but that you may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought."

These are far removed from the true christian congregation.

I believe church is becoming just another money making racket. People become so pompous and close minded in their beliefs that they create themselves into a sort of cult. I don't believe in tithing, giving a certain amount of your earnings to a church. Have you seen the houses most pastors live in and the cars they drive? And who's church is bigger, and how large their congragation is...PPLLEEEEEZZZ...It's so political, it's preposterous. God said he'd hear you praying while your inner chambers..that means, your car., in line at the grocery store....
