What is this vehicle that came and went as fast as lightning and is the color of amber of highly polished bronze with windows/eyes round about to see who was in it with legs like a calfs and going where it wanted without turning? Remember this guy has only seen a donkey cart up this point....
Ezekiel 1:4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
Ezekiel 1:5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
Ezekiel 1:6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
Ezekiel 1:7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

Ezekiel 1:8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
Ezekiel 1:9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
Ezekiel 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
Ezekiel 1:11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
Ezekiel 1:12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
Ezekiel 1:13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright

The object is something that could not be identified, therefore it is an unidentified flying object. It sound like it was a metallic object that was spinning by the way he defines it in 1:4, therefore the object was most likely circular. It also had a fiery glow to it, similar to the foo fighters that were reported by Allied and Axis bombers during world war 2. The object had some special features on it, as Ezekiel describes it having 4 living creatures each with four wings. The object must have had designs on it that sparkled, that looked like animals at least from ground level. I doubt it was a hallucination though, because as I remember (might not be correct), another person got to see it too.

Excellant Question: These same four Beings are also in Heaven,Rev. They appear to represent every part of God"s Creation Man-Eagle-Lion-Ox.I wonder why Fish is not present; They surround God's Presence.
I don"t presume to know with this Body,Someday We will know as We are Known.
I was reading Eze. and the thing that caught my attn. was the Wheel in Middle of a Wheel; I worked Mil. air-craft most of my Life\ Pilots learn to fly by Instruments, not Feeling ,there is an Attitude Instrument, in this display is a ball ,the bottom is black, top half Light color,It Shows like a( W )which is wing Position in relation to Artificial Horizon/Pilot may have performed several things to escape or engage other Air-Craft;He may Feel like the Plane is Right side up when He is upside down/ No matter what He thinks He Must go with the Instrument/ if not He will crash. Now back to Eze.ch 1 the Wheel in the Middle of a Wheel/ That is the part I'll address
The Gyroscope in all Air-Craft I worked on is a Wheel in the Middle of a Wheel,The Middle wheel and the tip of Spinning Gyro,Will always point North, this sends Gravity signal to "Attitude Indicater in cockpit and will show exact position of Aircraft(.North in the Bible )is very Important ,That is the Dwelling place of God,Didn"t Satan say he would take the Throne? I don"t Know ,Only God Does.In rev chap 4:7 these
Guardians of the Presence of God ,are pictured as 4 seperate ,one has Face of Human, next Lion,Eagle and OX .In Ez.ch 1 each had four Faces ,Human in front,Lion on the Right,Ox on the left and Eagle behind.

This is cool stuff. What ever the wheels may have been isn’t clear other than the wheels are dependant upon the living creatures for movement where it reads, “…for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels…” The ideas that this can impart is limitless. Ezekiel 1:20

In the beginning of Ezekiel he says that the heavens were open up and he began to see visions of God which ended in him being spoken to.

These are clearly occurrence’s on the spirit plane used as an introduction before he was spoken to. Ezekiel 2:1

Are you sure that it is a vehicle?
What if it is?
What if it isn't?
Does it force us to change the way that we look at anything else?

It's an interesting question, but one that is without a point.
Here's my question: Why do you ask?

Are you referring to the whirlwind of fire?
If so, I don't understand the question, maybe you don't know what a whirlwind is.
