Pretty soon in Chicago they will have to stop doing those, too-it will be the law! It is not safe nor sanitary in most cases. It creeps me out that people are tattooing at someone's kitchen or dining room table!
People who do these generally cannot get into a legitimate studio or they are trying to bypass paying the studio cut. I have no respect for anyone who does home party tattooing - run your party in a licensed, clean tattoo studio!!

I have been to one actually. It was not in Chicago. It was in Tallahassee. It was a tattoo and piercing party. I actually got my tongue pierced at it. My friends that hosted it went to a tattoo parlor and asked them if they would be interested. They said yes. They did very very well that night. It was a lot of fun too. Though I could not talk through most of it!
