stretch marks are normal. dont worry. you are getting them because of growing rapidly.
try using cocoa butter, or look for lotions found at target, or walmart.

Occasionally stretch marks happen due to growth spurts. What causes stretch marks is the skin's inability to stretch as quickly as your body is growing, the underlying layers of your skin tear slightly and cause these ugly marks. They are cosmetic only and can be prevented with the use of daily cocoa butter oil or coco butter lotion. Additionally new stretch marks generally respond well to vitamin E oil being rubbed over them. If stretch marks are old you may need to use mederma or other scar-therapy treatments. Later in life you will be able to treat these marks other ways so if they really bother you that much start saving whenever you can for laser treatments. Also make sure you have a healthy diet and use daily lotion with elastin in it. Hope that helps!

Stretch marks are a natural thing most woman (and some men) go through. They are the cause of fast growth. You can get them at anytime of your life usually just before or during your first menstruation and during pregnancy. Other cases of stretchmarks can be caused by a fast gain in weight or when you are building muscles. Although you should probably go to your dermatologist for treatment, there are some over the counter creams that can be massaged onto the area that can help with elasticity of the skin. And even though this is rare there is a disease called Cunnings disease (sp.) that is the cause of a lack of cortisol. There are also other symptoms that come with this. I myself have stretchmarks due to being slightly overweight and applying lotion can make them fade faster. Dont worry though because with time new skin will form and your stretch marks will fade naturally. Good luck and check with your dermatoligist. There is a technique that lasers them off and when this is done early you can get the best results. Just remember almost almost all women get them and most woman (with time) lose them. Good luck!

Stretch marks happens when the underlying skin tissue tears , the red/purple marks are the red connective tissue showing through the skin. This sounds much worse than it is, because it naturally occurs when you grow too fast or gain weight.
There is no skin cream which will help this go away.
Stretch marks like all marks on the body will heal in time. It is genetic for stretch marks to occur and once they heal they will turn light in colour and be much less visible.
At age 13, there is a good chance that the stretch marks may disappear completely, because you are still young and your skin will renew itself very well.

Stretch marks are a scar. I read somewhere that instead of using "stretch mark creams" use scar ointments/creams, although using cocoa butter as well won't hurt anything. Use Palmer's. They will never go away, but it may help to minimize the appearance. GOOD LUCK! :)

atomzer0, what you said was so sweet. Stretch marks are from growth spurts and are very difficult to get rid of, but you can use cocoa butter creme on the area very often, like 3 times a day, and it should help. Good luck!!

They are from growing spurts and there is nothing that you can do to treat or prevent them. I had the same thing happen to me at your age and I still have the stretch marks. Learn to live with them. Good luck

Don't we all (that have them) wish there was a miracle cure?? Although lotions help to keep your skin hydrated and soft it's the elasticity in your skin that determines stretch marks and how many and deep they will be...I had a wonderful anatomy teacher that answered silly questions.

There are creams that you can use specifically for stretch marks, google it - you'll be surprised how many things are out there. Also, you can use tanning (either from a bottle,a booth or from the sun) to help hide them.
