Life is not difficult at all. I am not religious, but I am spiritual. Through my inner investigations, I found the cause of suffering and now life is not difficult.

There is no avoidance...just understanding.

Religious beliefs don't make me avoid to see the truth in life. They just help me to get through the difficulties easily.

Have you accepted that you just can't do on your own because Life is too hard or are you still shaking your fist at the sky. Jesus came an awful long way for you to reject Him. I have accepted that Life is difficult and when you accept that then you will accept Jesus-Acts 2:38

In times of need people further embrace religion and hope it helps them through or curse it in despair at what is has begotten them. Life is hard, religion can be used as a shelter or it can give one the confidence to push through, a feeling of safety and comfort. Personally I get none of those out of religion because I am not a man of faith, but if you do use it to your advantage. Good day.

Peace.

let me answer your question with another question- have you accepted Jesus Christ? faith is not a denial of reality. it is realizing that we have a higher purpose, and it is also a means of knowing that no matter how difficult life gets there is always someone who cares and will guide you- God. so when you get tired of simply accepting that life is difficult and there is no hope, Jesus is waiting for you. yes life is difficult. the Bible teaches that, and Christians more than anyone accept that. but, even if we don't always see it, there is a method to God's madness.

I am much happier now that I have fully embraced my atheism. Solving my own problems in life makes me feel very empowered and grown up. And I feel like I have actually become a better person ethically speaking. Go figure.

I personally love life's difficulties. When they are over of course! How would we learn if life was perfect?
