Because God said so and He never lies. What He says settlesit for us, that simple, and there is so much evidence of it, we dont even just use blind faith to believe. Open our eyes Lord that we may see and open our ears that we may hear all of your truths. If we listen to God and obey, what a wonderful life we will have. Great auestion

He is not MY God. You might as well ask a flea who is sitting on an elephant's head what he, the flea, and his pet elephant are going to do today!
And I don't KNOW that God created the heavens and the earth. All I know is that material things are MADE, one way or the other, and Whatever Intelligence designed the Universe HE-SHE-IT makes you and me look like autistic microbes.
To believe the Universe just SOMEHOW "fell into place" so perfectly, with all its laws and unfound wonders, without a Guide would be the ultimate example of idiocy.
Why is it so difficult for people to recognize the Creation they're a part of?

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The physical universe was created by life.
Life cannot be created by physical matter.
If we call the force that created the universe God, then so be it.
I don't KNOW that my God created the universe because everyone has a different understanding of who and what God IS.
It would be a bit presumptuous of me to assume MY ideas are right and everyone else is wrong.
I CAN assume NO ONE has it correct.
When God wants us to know with greater accuracy, He will communicate that understanding to us. For now, maybe He thinks WE CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
Or maybe we would be likely to misuse it.
Faith is knowing He exists, has power, cares, and uses His power for GOOD.
I also believe he doesn't want us KILLING innocent women and children in His name. - That wouldn't be GOOD.

Hindus have 30 crores of gods - 300 million deities. You're not saying that religion is a giant crock of crap just because it is ridiculous at face value, are you? Are you going to believe whst you see or what priests tell you before grabbing for your wallet?

Faith is destroyed if it works. If you have faith you can only be denied. Test of faith!

science can only explain so much until you get to a point where you have to say that something created creation. if something exists, it has been created. if it hasn't been created, it does not exist. the fact that everything exists means it was created, and something had to create it- the Creator

You just have to beleive. By the way, the bible isn't fact, its faith. In any public school, you cant use it as a reference on a term paper since it cannot be proven.
