The last time our country did mass deportations was during the Eisenhower administration. There were about 800,000 illegal immigrants in the country. Eisenhower called out the army to round up and deport them. The army captured about 80,000 of them and shipped them by plane or bus to Mexico City or by ship to Vera Cruz. The remaining 720,000 illegals left voluntarily to avoid being shipped so far into their home country as well as to avoid having being deported on their record. At that time being deported meant you could never legally immigrate to America.
Today we could achieve the same result of letting the illegals return on their own by imposing mandatory jail sentences on employers who hire illegal aliens. Not many employers would be willing to go to jail and would quickly release all employees who did not have a legal right to be in our country. There would be no reason for illegal aliens to hang around if there is no work available for them.
There will be no labor shortage resulting from the absence of illegal aliens for the most part. Even now when a greedy employers' factory is raided and the illegal aliens are taken away American citizens line up for the now open jobs. Usually there are 100 or more applicants for every factory job vacated after a raid by the federals.
In other low paying jobs that would be vacated by aliens returning home greedy employers may have to increase the wages they will pay. There are many Americans who will clean toilets for $12 an hour, but won't for $5 an hour. A fair wage for a fair day's work is all most Americans ask for.

Truth be known, it would be easier to just do proper workplace enforcement and a real tamper proof ID card system. change the laws so that social security must report to ICe when they get payments from 2 sources on one social security card. Same with IRS. Give people who hire illegals about 20 years in federal prison for each one they hire. Then guess what? They will go home all by themselves since it is money they came here for in the first place. No jobs and they self deport.

It would not be mass deportation, it would be one person at a time. Cost would not be that much if each state, each city would do their part and there would be no public reaction, maybe except waving good bye.

The best deportation is the way they got here...one at a time.
Enforce our laws and most will SELF deport. Remove the reason they come here.
Prosecute all employers...No work, no illegal aliens.
Do not rent or sell property to illegal aliens.
Do not give monetary assistance from any governmental agency for any reason..
The ones that are left can be "rounded up" and deported.
If we don't enforce our laws, the problem will never be solved.
Amnesty won't solve anything. A fence by itself won't solve anything...
Think about it.

You know how on Film and Television they have these scenes where someone is having or is in a dream, and on the edges and corners of the screen it looks "blurryish" white?? That's how.
It is only a dream, it could never happen. But nice try asking this overredundant question. But you know the answer; it won't happen.

The cost would be like fumigating your house and noticing that there are no more termites or cockroaches around. It would be like heaven.
Id be willing to pay tax dollars to a round up.
Public reaction? the mexicans of course would riot and we'd need thousands of police to break out their weapons and shoot anyone who makes any threats.

The Hispanic press would blow it way out of proportion, distorting facts and portraying it as a modern-day "Trail of Tears." Those inhuman gringos! Brutes! But nobody would suffer, except the rich would have to change their own diapers and cook their own food and, God forbid, mow their own lawns. Okay, the rich Mexican elites who deported these people from their own country might suffer, when they all came home demanding jobs and social services and everything else they're demanding from us. Who cares? Does anyone on YA care if a corrupt Mexican government official loses his job?

Besides GREAT, HOORAY, YIPPEE, ZIPPIDEE-DODAH, HAPPY DAY, WONDERFUL, WHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG, BENEFICIAL TO AMERICA and FINALLY?
1st off, we don't need the illegals! Our economy would be much better without them. $22,400 per year for each family hurts taxpayers!
2nd, any amount that is spent would be less than what taxpayers are already paying to cover their benefits that they get for free.
3rd, Sorry but why should "public reaction" really matter? If you have listen to most comments here, people would be thrilled! MOST AMERICANS DON'T WANT AMNESTY!!!!!!!
Personally, I don't care what the public reaction is! These people are CRIMINALS because they are breaking our laws! All we would be doing is sending 20+ million people back to WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE!
