When Jesus walked the earth, they called him Yeshua. Jesus is not a Jewish name. I think it's really important that we use his real name because there are several scriptures that point to the importance of his name. Like when Yeshua said, "Anything you ask the Father in my name, I will do." Could it be that not very many miracles are being performed today because we're asking in the wrong name? One of Yeshua's apostles wrote, "By no other name are we saved." Why risk tampering with the Lord's name? I've been Praying using "In Yeshua's name amen" and I've been feeling alot of deep peace I've not felt before. I think there are alot of negetive feelings attached to the name Jesus.

I'm sure glad you brought this up, as I never thought of it before, but I think that, by golly, you just may be on to something here. He is known in different translations as Emanuel, Joshua, Yeshua, Jesus, and I don't know what all. Maybe we should find out just exactly what His name really was (and still is). Have you noticed your prayers also being answered more now, too? I'm just curious. God bless, and happy trails.

I have been praying in Jesus' name and have answered prayer. Our prayer and our relationship must be from the heart. So I don't think the name is as important as the relationship. I have friends that I can call by a nick name and they know I mean them. But what ever you think is best for you is good. I won't really argue with what you believe.

All of the above are true. The name Yeshua/Joshua is important because it is the name of the one who led the Jews into the Promised Land.
And so, Christ leads us all similarly into the Promised Land.

If it draws you closer to the Son of God to call Him by the name, "Yeshua", then keep on using it.

it quite is purely a recognition. You admire a recognition in case you sense that individual is of important magnitude. such as you may admire the call of your loved ones, or your hero, or anybody you held in intense regard. in accordance to the Christian faith the guy that call is hooked as much as is extremely important. so which you will desire to admire the call. in case you do no longer have faith interior the Christian faith then the call is of no magnitude to you. it is not needed which you would be able to hold admire for it personaly. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that no rely what your concept, you will desire to have admire for the concept of others (it quite is purely well mannered). So while your around a Christian, do no longer use it the call in ineffective.

That's as absurd as telling Mexicans that "Hesus" does not refer to their saviour. In reality, it is the same entity that is being referred.
