Here's my perspective on that (and bear in mind, this is just my opinion based on my personal experience): Christians believe that their faith is the one indisputable, universal truth. And their all-powerful god mandates that it's the obligation of his followers to impose it on all others. If a non-believer refuses to convert or questions the faith, then Christians tend to view that as an unjust restriction of their right to freely exercise their religion. As an attack against the mandate of their god. They do not recognize the right of non-Christians to have their own beliefs (or non-belief) without being assailed by Christianity. In short, no one has the right to be non-Christian.

In my experience, I have found that a high majority of the
populace(not just christians) say they are being "attacked"
when someone disagrees. I think it depends on the
circumstances of the particular situation whether a
disagreement escalates to an attack. I think that faith
in God's judgement can keep people from condescending
to a vigilante approach when it is not a necessary
defense; if there is a belief that God will judge and
invoke consequences on the offender then the person
might not be too hasty in causing harm to themself
by the breaking of law(and jail time), physical, or
by other means. In other words, sometimes putting
judgement in God's hands can prevent collateral
consequences on the person. That said, I do think
there comes a time and situation where a person
needs to stand up for themselves and ensure their
free motion and right to equality(particularly if
attacked physically, the victim should defend
themself and is justified in doing so).

1.) many times (not all the time, but many times) the "disagreements" come across as attacks because the person disagreeing insults Christians' intelligence or something. Disagreeing and saying that "anyone who believes that is just a moron" are two entirely different things.
And, some people are just too sensitive.
2.) Witnessing is not meant to be "threats". It's supposed to be showing others (bearing witness to) what God has done in my (as the Christian) life and telling the non believer about the love and sacrifice of Jesus. People have different styles and some do use that whole "fire and brimstone" thing, but I wouldn't say that everyone does.
In fact, you just made a bunch of generalizations based on what some Christians do. Not all of them.

correction 80% say they are Christian cause they don't want to get into argument! Polygraph tests have shown only that 63% percent are truly Christians 21% have admitted to lieing about being Christian! (I am among that 21%). 16 declined to say they say it's there constitutional right to remain private about their beliefs. Oh I did wear a pentacle in school! I just pretended that I didn't know it was an witchcraft item! Christians don't they be against everyone that doesn't profess christianity? You need to Read: The Taruk according it The bible was written by Joseph Flavius, and is a Necronimcon work because it uses fear to get one to belief! If You don't accept Jesus as your Saviour it's said you go to hell! Isn't that fear in use? Also church hymns are sorta hypnotic like and hypnotism is an offshoot of mysticism! Repitition of The Lord is Born! As It was In the Beginning So It is Now! Those songs are actually adapted slightly from original versions in the Magickal Works or Witchcraft! I'm a beginner in the metaphysical (better word than witchcraft)! Contact any of the sources for more!

Anything contradictory to Christian doctrine is automatically wrong. Same goes for most religions, as they believe the holy scriptures are passed down to man from god therefore your not disagreeing with one person, you disagree with God. Hence in the absence of god speaking to us, The Christians claim the three count was being made too slow and like a big bully shoves the referee to make it quicker next time....

Being threatened by a redneck with a shotgun is attacked. Someone disagreeing with you is not.
1Peter 3:15 tells us to "always be ready to make a defense for your faith and the hope that is in you." We also "make sure of all things." (1Thess. 5:21)
As teachers, JWs welcome questions. It is how humans learn. We encourage you to use your own Bible to see what we say is according to Scripture. Don't tell me you are afraid of that.
As Witnesses of Jehovah, we must witness to all the nations. What you personally do with it is up to you. Notice Matt. 24:14 does not say convert or else. We simply tell what will happen and the best course of action to keep you hale and hearty. We have never gotten anybody in a headlock to drag them in.

Most people react to disagreement with what they believe in a defencive mode. They "feel" like they are being attacked.
Most of the time however it is because they do not have the convictions of their beliefs enough to "stand up" and defend them with scriptual knoweldge and are not able to respond intellegently.
Because of the lack of knoweldge they will most generally react by saying stuff like "Well my pastor said you are going to hell if you don't change your ways"
Well my grandmother used to say that too but she would take out the Bible and quote me chapter and verse about why I was going to hell. Real tough old lady and I loved her dearly. She could defend her stand on a subject. Today most cannot.

christians gets attack just as much as the others in here, one on more than the other, its a battle in here just about every day. What the christians does share is their way of witnessing, it is 99% the warnings in the Word of God..
worry about it when all the attacks quit from all sides and expect something to happen that you least expect to happen. Peace & Joy

that really shouldn't happen. Witnessing is telling someone about Christ and his sacrifices for you, not vice versa. Christianity is not a list of don'ts and threats; it's a relationship with hope and promises. I'm sorry you've experienced "hostile Christianity"

Personally I think the ones who feel attacked when someone disagrees is not very strong in their belief. Maybe that's the wrong... hmmm... ok, they could be new to their belief system and not know how to defend it. Therefore they will feel inadequant to defend their beliefs.
