I agree with all the above answers. I would add only this: You will be hard pressed to find a tat done in a shop for under $70 that you want to have. Sure you could pick out a $40 flash from the wall that you sorta like, but why? Plan on spending some money for a good quality tat. I would advise that your first one be small. A lot of people underestimate the amount of pain n the tat process.
Yes, I am a man with several tats and I will tell you that it hurts!
The tat pictured would easily be a $125 to $200.

Tattoos typically are charged by the hour. Anywhere from $ 50 to $120 per hour. So the more detail, i.e.shading, color etc... the more it is going to cost. Dont get a tattoo until money is not the issue. Trust me dont go cheap when shopping for a tattoo. Also dont settle for your neighborhood tattoo guy, take the time and get a true artist to do your work. Remember it is a life time committment.

There is no set price for a tattoo, it all depends on the design,
how much detail it is, size and of course the artist.
Do some home work before hand, go to the places in your area, get some estimates.
Make sure you choose a good, clean, reputable shop.

good luck

Your REALLY need yo go to different shops! One guy tried to charge me 200 for a 2in tattoo! But usually it goes by size,color/detail,the artist, and time!
Some ppl have flat rates.
The lowest i have heard of was free BECAUSE it was a little heart lol
Please check around to different shops

Depends on whether you're getting a blue dot or something that covers your body and is colored. The more detail and colored you get the more it's going to cost. Just be sure it's sterlized and safe!!

It depends on a lot things. How big or small the work is. If you want color. I have one that stretches across my back and its black and white and I paid $125 for it. It also depends on where you go too.

See my avatar? I paid $150 to have it put on my upper back, just below my neck.

well, it depends on the size really, and if it is colored or an outline. sometimes it depends on how much detail it has in it.
