infidelity under any circumstances is a pretty good sign that there is something significantly wrong with a relationship. simultaneous infidelity of both parties is an undeniable red flag signaling that both of you need to take a step back, really look at what you did and why you did it and try and figure out if it really had anything to do with the fight or if you have both just given up on a healthy, monogamous relationship. the good news is, if you still really want to be together at least you can work through this together. there will not be one sided guilt or one sided resentment. but understand that both of those feelings are still going to be there and dealing with them, whether you try to forgive and forget or just forgive, is going to be a formidable task to say the least. best of luck with whatever decision you make.

By the time that things have gone this far - there are really only two options left.

First is to open up your relationship - work things out as a couple (to strengthen the romantic side of things), and then join the wonderful world of Swinging. Depending on how the two of you feel about it - you can do threesomes (if you don't mind watching your partner with someone else), or partner swapping (with or without your spouse present).

Unfortunately, the only other option left is to go your seperate ways - you BOTH crossed the line, so there's no point getting too mad about it. I know that one (or both) of you WILL still get mad - but there is no way to "win" this argument.

Well it would be awful hypocritical of you to get mad when you just did the exact same thing, so you either have to decide that you can live with the infidelity or you have to decide that you must move on. Since you both did the exact same thing you should just go ahead and go home.

(I would advise a really good shower for both though)

I think you have to both address it. I mean it doesn't seem right to go out and do that after a fight, but if you both want to be together you need to be aware of what each other did and be able to work through it or not.
