I've always been an Atheist but was wondering if I chose to get into vampirism if it is considered a religion because then I wouldn't be atheist, right?

I think that the practice of vampirism involves believing that supernatural powers can be acheived through ritual drinking of blood. I think its like LaVeyan Satanism in the fact that it can be considered a "religion", but it doesn't advocate the existence of a deity.

But to me, it seems that most atheists wouldn't buy into the whole "supernatural powers" thing.

If there's a more specific form of deity-focused religious vampirism, I'm not familiar with it. But I'm hardly an expert on vampirism.

LOL vampires don't believe in a higher being. Its a subculture, not a religion. But hey go for it. Vampire's are sexy.

I would say Vampirism is more of a lifestyle then a religion, there is no worship involved. its like asking if being black is a religion.

religions pertain to a belief in some form of deity in my personal opinion, otherwise it seems to be more of a philosophy to me. so i guess the cross trick won't work on you then, when you become a vampire? will holy water or communion wafers?

I concur--vampirism is a subculture, populated by people who desire to be seen as sexy because they secretly don't feel attractive.

I have known "vampires" in real life...they needed help.

Nope, it's not a religion - it's an obsession, but it has no real belief system. Voodoo doesn't count as a religion, either.
