You need to stop this immediately! Probably just reading what you descibed isn't even healthy! Maintaining a healthy, regular diet is far better for you and if it's weight that concerns you, then the same applys. Do you realize that starving yourself all day and then eating one, even normal size meal will make you gain weight more than eating three meals a day? See, once you have starved your body of nutrients your body longs for it more so when it finally finds a source (i.e. that one meal) it will absorb all of it, and not just the good stuff in it, meaning you'll pretty much soak up all of the fat and calories that would normally be digested and passed along if your body wasn't so desparate. Try eating stuff like toast or oatmeal in the morning, a fruit salad or chicken and salad for lunch and then fish, if you like it, or chicken and vegetables for dinner and make sure to drink water throughout the day as often as you can. I can guarantee you, you'll feel a hell of alot better, and be treating your body right and hopefully avoid any serious problems. Please, don't do what you described to yourself. Remeber this too, the feeling of hunger means that you have already neglected your body from what it needs to maintain itself and your health, just as, feeling thirsty means you have already dehydrated yourself and as common as these two symptoms are amongst people, they are just as unhealthy for you to. I hope you take this advise, or at least try it for a while.

First of all, I think skipping breakfast is a terrible idea. You can actually gain weight if you eat nothing all day long and eat a large dinner, that is unhealthy. Breakfast is in fact the most important meal of the day. Have a large and healthy breakfast everyday, preferably a smaller dinner. I don't have a lot to go on, I don't know how much 'small amounts' is for you and I don't know exactly how frequent, I don't know how much exercise you get either. I wish I could be of more help.

Small frequent meals can be healthy as long as you're eating things that are high in protein, vitamins, etc. Be sure to eat at least 1500-2000 calories per day to be sure your metabolism keeps going.
Staying hungry is okay (asuming you're intaking enough calories) but be careful not to starve yourself. If you neglect yourself of food for too long, your metabolism slows down (preparing to store calories as if you're starving to death). Its based on the survival instinct of your body to survive through periods of time when food is scarce. Keep your body fueled enough to keep your metabolism going (which is 1500-2000 calories spread out throughout the day).
If you're eating enough but you're hungry, its great that you're able to ignore your hunger by chewing gum! Many people can't!
Good luck!

Of course this is unhealthy...but you already knew that!
Try eating 6 small meals a day, it is not good to skip meals either.....there are a lot of things you can eat that will be low in calories yet healthy. Try eating fresh fruit and veggies during the day.

gum produces saliva which makes u hungry bc it has nothin to absord. eat fruits instead drink a full glass of water b4 each meal as well.never skip breakfast or other meals it just stores the next food as fat. so eat lots of fruits n veggies instead of not eating bc then u will lose weight n b full. cut out pop or cut down. cut out lots of fried food. replace with fish n boneless skinless chicken. u have to want to change ur eatin habbits. i have anorexia n this works better then the starvation diet lost 11lbs in 3 wks n i dient work out but if i did workout then it would of been bout 20lbs

It's not only unhealthy, it makes losing weight more difficult. When you don't consume enough calories, your body go into starvation mode, conserving the fat you have on your body.
It's much healthier and you'll look better if you eat several small meals a day instead of starving yourself.

behavior like that can surely lead to an eating disorder.
a diet of negative calorie foods is bogus. trust me "if" it worked the pro bodybuilders that I train would be using it in the diets that I design for them, but it does not.
skipping meals slows down the metabolic rate which means less fat loss. only a balanced healthy diet will lead to a lean physique with lower than average levels of body fat. starving the body has never worked for fat loss and it never will

yes, stop.
skipping meals will only slow your metabolism, and, despite all the gum chewing and "no calorie" jazz youre doing, you'll put weight on later.
