im trying to do my windows updates but everytime i click on the link an error message pops up saying that windows has encountered a problem and needs to close and then i get kicked off the internet , is there a program i may have installed that could be doing this ? also callig hp support wasnt any help

are you using ie6?? instead of goin to windows update from the clickable link, try goin to it directly from microsoft, and find a download for ie7, and get it installed , that should fix you up .. windows ie7 can be found here
