Me and older guys?

Question

I'm 17 and I'm really into older guys. But not too much older like 20-35. Is there something wrong with me?

usually.. girls who are into way older guys (more than 10 years older than them) have had some sort of abuse as they were younger and they are seeking someone to "protect them". And.. usually when folks hook up like that.. it doesn't end good and the girl usually goes from guy to guy. If this sounds like you.. go get some counseling now.

There's a pretty big difference between a 20-year-old guy and one who's 35 ;) There's definitely nothing wrong with you, but you might want to look at what it is about older guys that you like. I'm 22, and often find myself attracted to women who are in their 30's because most women around my age that I run into are still into the more extreme college party lifestyle that I'm (for the most part) done with. I don't think there's anything wrong with being clear about what you want and going after it. Trying to do what's "normal" really can cause worse issues for you than deviating from the norm.

Since girls mature emotionally much quicker then boys their own age, its very common. Especially in the 17-18 year olds. I would point out though that anyone over 22 is probably not good dating material for you.

There are some girls who didnt have a father figure that are into men much much older but that is a whole nother story :) Those are the ones looking for a man to replace their dad. This is never a good situation

Absolutely not! It is a fact that men mature at a slower level than women. If you want a guy that is mature and more serious then you always have to go to the older ones. Although a man is still a man so be careful! Good Luck

It's all about personal choice, I just don't understand why so many people seemed to be concerned with what other people think or they think something is wrong with them because they have personal preferences. Look I'm 34 and when I was your age I realized that I prefered black women over any other race (I'm white) I never once wondered was I "normal" True I caught alot of grief behind it but guess what I was happy with my choice then and have never regreted not hiding who I was. Even though now I date any race I still have a strong preference toward black women and I still consider my self normal. You should do the same.

Girls tend to mature WAAAY faster than guys, so it is pretty normal for you to be attracted to older guys, especially if you are mature for your age. Once you turn 18, it's totally legal too! =P As long as they're not the same age as your dad or grandpa, you should be fine.

not at all they are more mature and work and can take you places but dont go older than about 24 at your age as these guys are also more suave and could take advantage of you, but there is nothing wrong with you for wanting to date someon that is a little more mature..

No, but why do you like guys older than you? Most girls I know do it for the money.

This is normal, as young woman see them as more mature and experienced with life, but the older they are the more you see that they are probably in it for just one thing.
