Anything by Slim Dusty - a true Aussie and great singer.

go to http://www.slimdusty.com.au/releases.html and see his song titles, you can tell from that how 'Aussie' his songs are

Examples:::
Track listing... The Road To Gundagai / I'm Going Back Again To Yarrawonga / The Man From The Never Never / That Old Bush Shanty Of Mine, Click Go The Shears / The Overlander Trail / Waltzing Matilda, A Pub With No Beer, Goodbye Melbourne Town / Botany Bay, Rover No More / Oh, Sydney I Love You / Back To Croajingalong / Beer Barrel Polka, The Bells Of St Mary's, Boomerang / Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport / Where The Dog Sits On The Tucker Box, Keep The Homefires Burning / Pack Up Your Troubles / A Brown Slouch Hat / It's A Long Way To Tipperary, The Answer To A Pub With No Beer, The Whispering Bush / Little Boy Lost / Suvla Bay, Bless This House, The Old Sundowner / The Silver In My Mother's Hair / Now Is The Hour

Unfortunately Slim passed away in 2003 - but his music will live on!

Yes.

Waltzing Matilda is a good song that describes some of the land, you will find the word billabong and wonder what it might mean. This song also tells a story of a tramp down on his luck. Some would say that this song is the unofficial National Anthem of Australia.

First thing that pops to my mind is Men at Work's I come From A Land Downunder!!

Or as the prevoius answerers have said...anything by John Williamson. Give me a Home Among The Gum Trees etc.

Waltzing Matilda or Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree are really Aussie as well.

Check out this link...it has a few Australian songs on it. http://www.gigglepotz.com/f_songs2.htm

Or of course there is our National Anthem ...Advance Australia Fair....http://www.imagesaustralia.com/australiannationalanthem.htm

Two personify Australia - "We Are Australian" and "Great Southern Land".

You should be able to get the lyrics for both from the Web.

All of the above, except for one, have good answers to your question.
Some of the songs mentioned, are very Australian, you may need an interpreter for them. :)
