How many years of schooling does a meteorologist have to endure?

Undergrad - 4 years
Graduate including PhD - 4-6 years
Fellowship - 1-3 years

Hopefully you really enjoy meteorology, for the amount of school you could be a doctor

A Lifetime's worth. Education NEVER ends for a Meteorologist. Because there's ALWAYS new stuff to learn. But for THEM- it's OK, because they're absolute fanatics about what they DO. I know. I'm one of them. :)
