It depends on what your health problem is. If it is something very serious, they will take you to the nearest one for treatment, then if you want to pay to be transferred later, you can do that.

When my grandfather was working on a building and fell, the ambulance took him to the nearest hospital because of his age and he had broken his pelvic bone in 4 places. Then when he had a heart attack a few years later, they took him to the nearest hospital even though they were unable to revive him at home (the hospital couldn't revive him either).

If there is a problem with a hospital being very busy, the dispatcher will tell them what course of action they have to take if it's an emergency since they have access to all that information and can call if they have to.

Ambulances attempt to respond as rapid as they are able to and cope with the situations as immediately as obtainable. they'll continually deliver the casualty to the closest well being facility. That pronounced a broken leg isn't existence threatening and an ambulance isn't mandatory until the bone has punctured pores and skin or some thing else. attempt to no longer call ambulances for non-emergency situations as they're continually in call for no remember what time of the day, and in case you get rid of one it slows the reaction time for somebody to whom some seconds might have made a extensive distinction.

They will take you to the nearest hospital that can help you, or to the one you request if taking the extra time to get you there will not endanger you.
