Soooo...if men DON'T mature?

Then why do you women have long term relationships and marry them?

The thing is from my perspective most men or WOMEN don't mature either. But it always comes down to the fact that when you get into a long term relationship with anyone you have to be able to accept their quirks and some of the things you don't always like about them. Its a compromising situation relationships are. Because people aren't always going to act the same, but there was something that was keeping you there for the long haul if you wish to get married or even be commited for so many years. Just figure out what makes you click and settle into a 50/50 split of how to handle things in the relationship.

A woman might find a man who matures, and maybe you ladies don't mind the fact that men to mature. What's bad about a silly old man who smiles all the time? If they make you laugh, life will be good. There is also the factor that many people are shallow and tend to go for looks. If women only got together with men measuring how mature they were, a lot of ladies would turn into lesbians, or never marry period.

I think men do mature. The right men, anyway. My partner and I appreciate each other's childlike qualities, as well as our responsible, take-action qualities.

Women who tolerate men who are typically referred to as "immature" (i.e. selfish, irresponsible, out of control) are simply settling for less than they deserve (and idiots, in my opinion). They're probably suffering from low self-esteem, are afraid to be alone, or think that having a man - even a jackassy one - is a status symbol, or a way to impress/keep up with their friends. And somehow society has reinforced these ideas.

Crappy people come in both genders. So do good people. Have some standards, find a good one and this issue becomes irrelevant.

I don't really know. I have plenty of guy friends and they can be mature at times but they still are immature most of the time. Same goes to the girls. Even though we mature faster, no offense guys, we are still intouch with our inner child.

It all depends on the severity of their maturity to begin with. I would not be with a man again if he was not already mature enough for me. I married one like that, and he never did change! Now I am with an amazing guy, and he was already mature, and yet younger then my ex!

some men dont mature and the ones that do are either gay or married, lol. the guys that dont mature and still get married are very very loved by the women who decided to marry them, knowing what they were going to have to deal with. or they just hoped that one day, maybe one day they would eventually mature...

Men do mature in their own way. It may not be the way a woman wants them to, but they do mature their own way. I have a husband who goes to work every day, does his part of the house work every day, does what he needs to do. He also plays with legos, video games, twister, and with our 3 kids. He is mature in his own way.
