Perhaps... but I wouldn't base it off just a common compliment and smiles. She could just be extremely nice. You should wait for more signs before you make any kind of move.
Try to impress her a little... but do it with subtlety. Maybe after some time, she would feel a little attracted to you. You wouldn't want to make a move now and have her say no, when you could have the possible chance of actually getting her to like you. From what you're saying, it doesn't seem like you've known her for very long. Give it some time.

You should ask her out. It seems like she likes seeing you, if she smiles at you all the time. So what are you waiting for? She probably won't make the first move, so Give it a go!

No, its not important! The only way you will find out if she likes your for sure is to ask if she would like to hangout sometime after school...maybe get some ice cream or somethin... If she accepts, you will at least get the chance for her to get to know you and you to know her. Good Luck!

She likes you. How would I know? If she shows any interest in you at all, she likes you. However, there is a difference between just liking you and wanting to have a dating relationship. The only way you can know if she wants to date you is to ask her out. Go for it. No harm in asking.

no i dont think she likes you. she thinks your nice, that means she thinks your a good friend. she smiles everytime she sees you? yeah you want her to glare at you with daggers. lol of course she'll smile but it doesnt seem like she interested. lol. she has a lot of attractive guyfriends. good chance she might be falling for one of them.

just go ask her, you have nothing to lose. but don't be all rude about it if she says "no" If shes does say no stay cool and then try to be friends with her, maybe she'll start to fall for you if you hang out with her.
