A female dog can have her first season any time after she is 6 months old.
Of all the bitches I've owned the youngest that any of them has had their first season was 8 months old, the latest for a fist season was 18 months. A great deal depends on the *****, the type of dog she is and to a degree her breed.
If you ask whoever bred her when her mother had her first season, chances are your ***** will have hers about the same age.

Depends on the breed and size of the dog. Smaller dogs usually about 6 months. A large breed dog can go anywhere from 6-12 months for their first heat.

The rule of thumb is at 6 months and then every 6 months but this can vary from dog to dog just like people.
If you are considering getting the ***** fixed then at 5-6 months is the best time to do it.

Usually between 7-12months old but it depends on what breed of dog you have, small dogs mature quicker then larger breeds.It's not unusual for some bitches to have there first season after a year old but it's nothing to worry about.

my pups first season started yesterday and she is about 8 months old, born 22th october. have been told she will bleed for a few days, have seen a few spots now and then the blood turns to a yellow discharge this is what dogs smell her and her scent markings. not to take her for a walk on her 10th and 11th day as she would stand for a dog then.
she is a beagle. hope all goes well
