I feel exhausted and my job is time pressure and I'm in front of the computer more than 8 hours. I don't get paid well, imagine to get paid only 280 dollars a month with deduction then when you get sick for days they only approved only one day and the rest of the days will be considered absent with deduction. And you wont get that extra money from incentives because your absent. And then you got annoying co-workers and passive team leaders. Then the director thinks he's better than anybody when he never tried online teaching, he tells how to teach when it's his first time to have that kind of job. Then there are demanding parents or students who wants to be called exactly on time not early, not late exactly which I prefer calling early because I don't want to be lately for my next classes which is a marathon classes. Sigh! I'm tired, I have more than 25 students a day. If I ask for a vacation leave, I don't think they will give me one.

I don't feel appreciated and I feel taken for granted. and the newbies are very disrespectful even if I'm ahead of them for than 2 years.

Wow... for a moment I thought to myself " Am I so stressed that I forgot I posted this question?" Then, I realized that someone was in the same boat as me..
It is stressful enough doing what we do (albeit I am the director of an adult day treatment for mentally disabled/ behaviorally challenged adults) without passive leaders, annoying coworkers who won't do their part and unappreciative people all around.
I have been blaming mine (maybe erroneously) on being 6 months pregnant... then I remember how I felt before pregnancy.
You are suffering from burn out. Even a vacation at this point will do only minimally at helping your situation. Study your alternatives and give it a good look. You may be surprised that you do need a serious change and maybe even a change in CAREER!
Best of luck... if you would like to email and rant, feel free! :) That always helps me! :)

It sounds like there are no pros to having the job you have. If I were you, I'd make a list of pros and cons, if the cons list is longer, then quit. My philosophy is work to live, not live to work, which sounds like what you're doing. Life is too short. If you enjoy teaching, online or otherwise, you should find a company that's kinder to their employees than the one you're currently with. I would have left that job immediately after I started noticing the cons. I hope that helps! Good luck!

Sadly, few of us have the option to quit a job. However, there is no reason in the world you cannot look for a different one and "change" jobs. I sure would. Dont know where you are located but that pay scale sounds like a joke to me. Find a new one before ditching old one, my ultimate answer. Good Luck, Lainey

I'm confused...first off it sounds like you boss could be violating labor laws cause you sound under-paid. You should really look into you states or countries labor laws and find out what min. wage is. You may be entitled to some serious compensation or a nice court settlement.

It's real simple. You only have one life. Life is very short and once the time is past, you can't get it back. Then you are dead and that is it. C'mon, QUIT THE JOB!!! No job is worth feeling lousy, getting disrespected, and inadequate pay. QUIT THE JOB AND GO FIND HAPPINESS WHEREVER YOU CAN.

Yes. I'd quit the job... but not before finding a new one. Having a sucky job is stressful, but often being unemployed is MORE stressful. Good luck!

I think you are answering your own question- there are millions of jobs in the world, what makes this one so great? You'll find another... and it may take time and work, but you will.

In my opinion i think you should. Life is too short to spend it doing something you don't like, you know? Find something you do like and I promise life will be much, much easier!
Good Luck!
