Religion has, from time to time, boycotted various fiction books. However, a religious figure once told me that half of what is in the Bible is "crap," and is not true. If this man was correct, than shouldn't the Bible itself be removed from religion?

they want to ban harry potter because it contains "witch-craft"

Exactly. I don't believe much of anything from the Bible except turn the other cheek. I don't believe the creation story, Noah's Ark, Armageddon, etc. However, I see it as a book and protected free speech. I don't like to read it but others do. That's their right. I just want them to give me and others the freedom to read what we want, too.

It very funny how most Christians act towards books that they object to, simply because they do not like it.
Sadly there are people who still burn books, yes burn books.
In any case I think that it should be put in the fiction section of the library and book story, somewhere in the back in a dark corner.

No, but neither should any of those other books. And of course, the Bible's study and interpretation should be taught very carefully.

I don't favor the banning of books.. that bans ideas.. as long as it's placed properly in the fiction section of a library, I'm all for it ;)

The Bible is non-fiction, because it is the greatest souce of ancient middle-eastern history. It is full of metaphors, poems, history, songs, etc. God bless!
