As a Buddhist I'm not allowed to 'convert' people and don't think it's the right thing to do anyway. I found my way to this path very gradually. I understand the sentiment but it just doesn't work that way. Om Shanti

If Buddhism is approach as an education, quantity is fine but if seen as a religion, then, the whole Buddhism might be in a mess,it is the quality not the quantity that matters,Buddha Dharma is the Universal Law,every being is the child of the universe, all will have to go back to nature,Buddha has all the time in the universe,it is a matter of time,in more lives to come, one will be there,be patience.Thank you for your effort, let them be,they are choosing their own paths, that is Affinity.

Actually, "Buddhism" is not interested whether others would give a "chance" or not. The teachings of the Buddha are like air. They are free and everywhere. If anyone chooses not to breathe this air, it's his business. Buddhism is not concerned about what others think of it.

i think buddhism is the bomb.
its not for everyone though.
it is fascinating because its so different.
much closer to atheism than christianity
of course there are many different sects there too
i like zen buddhism
and theres one called Nichiren that is the complete opposite
its pure crap if you ask me
just a system of praying for things
not freeing yourself of desire
although rereading the teachings of jesus
from a buddhist perspective is fascinating too
like jesus was trying to tell us who we are
but ended up getting worshiped instead.
Buddhism is difficult to understand
because of our unquestioned preconceptions
so for the very reason im attracted to it
most people would reject it
its an acquired taste

Buddhism is a peaceful, enlightening, beneficial faith. But I believe the Word of God, namely Jesus. So I cannot be or practice as you would, my friend. I do not believe that all things are devine, there is a man called satan and he is real. What happens in my life is up to more than me being good. I can be good all day, everyday, but ultimately, I need a Savior. His name was already mentioned in my answer. So, peace to you and blessings, too!

Hello,
It is certainly up to individuals to choose their religions and even take the time to study them if they feel some inclination or attraction.
I do not know if it has any better answers and teaches its society any better than the other religions do. If you look at the countries where Buddhism flourishes, you can see that good human rights records, decent social saftey nets and peace between brothers is noticeably lacking as well.

I think, many people are practising Buddhism with full freedom but that doesnt mean it wont be criticized by people around the world.

Why don't people give any belief system that is not theirs a chance? Because it challenges what they believe.
Some people are too afraid to see what else is out there.
