Well now, don't make generalizations---I have known a few Christians with great senses of humor.
BUT, I can see where you're coming from, because it does seem as if the majority act as if humor is evil or something, lol.
I think those kinds of people just live on their own self righteous little world, and there isn't much room for humor or laughter, or magic, or silliness, or fantasy...
Oh well. I think it would be sad to live a humorless life. Being a Catholic-Christian-Universal-Earth Mama with sprinkels of Paganism (LOL I can't even label myself), I never understood, or wanted to be a part of that grim solemnity that some Christians cling to. Life should be celebrated, not lamented.

Actually the talking donkey thing was funny and satan slithering up to eve was kinda funny and they're making a movie about Noah right now it's a comedy... there's alot of humor going on...... maybe not at our expense we could laugh some but some people are rude when they're funny.
I'm a bit sarcastic myself and some take it wrong.
Don't put too much energy into it. I wouldn't worry... keep being yourself.

I think it depends on which Christian you talk too & what subject you choose to discuss as it is for all the world religions, (Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, etc.) This even includes Atheists. Humor has a time & a place, which rarely is seen in the news.
The saying "don't judge a book by it's cover" comes to mind.

That's a pretty broad statement, isn't it?
I think your avatar is pretty funny, and your screen name, too. It made me smile, do you think God will send me to hell for that?
Then, again, God is the one who created such amusing things as crook necked squash, armadillos, daisies, giraffes, maple trees, the amazing duck billed platypus...oh, and so much more! Look at human beings, for goodness sake...toes, noses...human beings are truly a source of amusement, aren't they? Everything from a baby's chuckle to a young girl's giggle.
If Christians don't have a sense of humor, I guess they must not be paying much attention to their Father, cuz He certainly does know how to laugh. There is not one single thing wrong with laughter...
At least, not from this Christian gal's perspective.
May God bless you...and may you live, love, and laugh in His presence!

Well, to find out if a Christian has a sense of humor you have to actually be funny, not insulting.. and too few know the difference.
On edit... Okay, you say we cannot judge our own sense of humor, so how can someone that doesn't even know us think they can?

Honk If You Love Jesus!
The other day I saw a ''Honk if you love Jesus'' bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance followed by a thunderous prayer meeting, so I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy, am I glad I did!
What an uplifting experience that followed! I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord, and how good He is... and I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed! I found that LOTS of people love Jesus! Why, while I was sitting there, the guy behind me started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, ''For the love of GOD! GO, GO!! Jesus Christ, GO!!'' What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out of my window and started waving and smiling at all these loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love!
There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a ''sunny beach''...I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. When I asked my buddy what that meant, he said that it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I've never met anyone from Hawaii, so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign back. My buddy burst out laughing...why even HE was enjoying this religious experience!
A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed, so I waved one more time to my loving brothers and sisters, grinning, and drove on through the intersection. I noticed I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and I felt kind of sad that I had to leave them all after all the love we had shared, so I slowed the car down, leaned out of the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one more time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks.

We love humor. Christians are laughing and telling jokes all the time. The only difference is that our jokes don't tear other people apart, and they can be heard by all ages.

The Bible is serious in that it holds the way to get to Heaven. That is no laughing matter. But believe me, Christians have a sense of humor. We couldn't get through life without one.

A woman was at the beach with her children when her four-year-old son ran up to her, grabbed her hand, and led her to the shore, where a sea gull lay dead in the sand.
"Mommy, what happened to him?" the son asked.
"He died and went to heaven," the mother replied.
Her son thought a moment and then said, "And God threw him back down?"
Kind of lame. best i could do on short notice. I ain't Robin Williams.
