I am 30 years old (single, no dependants) and have started back to college to try to finish my bachelor's degree. For medical reasons, I've only been going to school part-time, and have not been working. I also currently live with my parents who claimed me on their taxes. They are unable to help me with school so I've been attending on Pell Grants. I have an opportunity to interview for a part-time job at the university library. How would this affect my Pell Grant? I'd appreciate any feedback.

Is the job at the library a workstudy position? If so it won't affect your Pell Grant at all since workstudy earnings are excluded from determining aid eligibility. If it's not a workstudy job your earnings could decrease your Pell Grant next year, but it would depend on how much you earn. Either way, if you want a part-time job working on campus is the best way to go.

with your mom's decreased earnings, there's a solid possibility which you will qualify for a Simplified desires attempt or computerized 0 EFC on your 2013-14 FAFSA. I tremendously doubt that an element-time interest will impact your EFC.
