Have you ever considered Satan is actually a Good guy, that was trying to save people from an unfair God? The way the Christian God is described, s/he does seem like a big unfair butt wipe.

LOL! I can see how you get frusterated with not knowing reasons why God does some things. I know I do, however I never once questioned him being the bad guy and Satan being the good guy. Satan is the author of chaos, God is not. Satan also makes bad things LOOK really good when they're really bad for us and even detramental to our health/fatal.
I thought my earthly parents seemed like a "big unfair butt wipe" when they told me not to do certain things I wanted to do but now that I have kids, more things are making sense. We will understand someday.
Thanks for making me laugh. I hadn't heard the term "big unfair butt wipe" since maybe Elementary School.
Peace be with you!

Well I am trying to figure out if you are high and if you are on what? Look I feel that everyone has the right to feel or believe what ever they want but, you need help. Don't just look to the bible there is alot of books out there that will give you a non- Christin view point. But they seem to think that Satan is a bad guy too.

Great question. And the only reason that "Satan" is the "bad guy" is because of all the butt wipe people out there with the power of persuasion over the week-minded souls here.....or whatever. Anyways, i don't think it matters who the good guy is in the afterlife, what matters is the here and now. If you're a "good guy" here, today, well I guess YOU are the good guy. Still, I like this question, its interesting.

I don't think Satan is a "good guy" but I think God is just as bad. God in omniscient; allknowing. So I ask you this, why would an all knowing God make a race of animal he KNEW would sin and doom themselves to his eternal damnation? Because he is a sadist. Is not God more powerful than Satan? Did not Jesus die on the cross to forgive ALL of >OUR SINS
Peace.

God was trying to keep knowledge from human beings, right?
That's one way of looking at it.
So, now, look around you. Men have the knowledge of good and evil, don't they? And what do they do with their knowledge?
We have the technology right now to feed every hungry kid in the world, don't we? We can bring water to deserts, we can clone sheep...so much that we, here take for granted, even as we complain about how much it all costs...
Ahh, but that's the problem isn't it? Greed! How many millions of children are starving to death right now, because of greed?
Then, too, how do we use our knowledge? With nuclear power, we could bring energy to the entire world...but we would much rather use that knowledge to blow the entire world to bits...
Maybe...just maybe, now...if mankind had obeyed God, we would have still grown and learned all this technology...and been able to use it for good.
I dunno, but casting Satan as the hero, when I see all the suffering men cause one another, just doesn't work for me.
God bless!!

Also in the Karamasov Brothers (almost positive it is here) this is considered, they remember the war between heaven & hell and ponder if the world is in the state it is, with sickness, war, hate, etc, maybe God lost and the one who reigns is Satan...
that would make the satanists the good guys, lol.

I'd like to know why the feminists who say God is female never consider that it might be Satan who's a woman?

Just asking!!

I've wondered something similar. Christians are constantly warned of evil, Satanic practices, and cults. They say thay people are bewitched to believe in "evil." How do we know that traditional religion isn't some type of cult; one that has gotton so out of hand, that we now believe that what could actually be right is wrong?

Satan may not be the only good guy, but he is definitely good at his job, else he would not have kept such an important job. Sometimes, I have a feeling he is the only one doing his job.

Yes, I have considered this. But in the end I decided that not believing at all made the most sense. Does make you wonder tho...

the "winner" of a war is not always the good guy, but usually that's what people think.
