From what I've gathered in the sundry YA R&S Q&A, it would appear that there is a strong belief that Christians are stupid, and Atheists will all burn in hell (I don't mean you said this, I mean someone else did).

Hence my question, does anyone have anything nice to say about someone else that does not share your belief system?

I'll start. Hey Jack D., you are brilliant in your Fine Arts answers, and I always enjoy reading them whether I agree with them or not.

And Kallan, you have a sweet avatar, and so many friends on YA that you must be a really nice person. Keep up the peace.

And to imacatholic2, 2584 Best Answers with a 44%, wow, you must really know your stuff, kudos on that one brother.

There now, wasn't that swell?

Serious and funny answers welcome, insults are not.

Okay, I have met some very nice Christians on here; actually, the ones who have emailed me have, for the most part, been exceptionally nice. Biggestjesusfan is the nicest, sweetest person, and she doesn't preach at me for being an atheist. Super Bobo is one helluva funny guy, and also a devout Christian. Munchkin is a very sweet, intelligent Christian. I'm sure I've spoken to others, but please forgive me that I can't remember everyone's names. Actually, everyone has been pretty nice, considering some of the sarcastic things I've said and asked on here.

And, last but not least, Serafim, I don't know whether you are Christian, agnostic, atheist, or whatever, but you are an extremely intelligent person, have the highest percentage rating of best answers I have ever seen, and are a good friend. This is one of the best questions ever posted on here.

I think its easy to forget that there are people behind these avatars. I get the feeling that almost all here are probably folks you'd love to sit down with for a chat.

I have some favorite folks, that hopefully I'll get a chance to meet before the rapture! :) A new favorite is Jack B. For some reason I haven't irritated him too much yet, and he is a funny and intelligent guy. He's NOT Jack Black. I take it back. :)

I like Shahbarak, who only comes on late, with his excuse being he's in Australia - Jack B, I'll introduce you. I have a strong appreciation for Brett A and the drunk atheist super hero, what's his name? Both have tolerated my idiocy. I haven't touched base with JP or Acid Zebra in awhile, but like them both as well. I think I'd like to meet Orion someday. My heart goes out to him.

I've really started to like Kallan, Pangel, Loka and Sean. I think Thrice Baked is neat.

On the imacatholic2 fella - when does he answer any questions? Is there a parallel R&S out there somewhere? I'm sure he's a great guy.

Hello,

I have been using YA answers for a while. I have come across some very nice people here of all different beliefs. Just to name a few, Dr. Rekhaa Kale, Thetaalways and my very good atheist friend, Jack. We have shared our views with each other and he has always been very respectful of my beliefs. And he knows a lot about art, too! What a great question, Seraphim.

I am a Christian. I don't have to agree with someone's beliefs in order to respect them as a human being. I know several people on here that are Pagans, Atheists, or Agnostic that I do respect as people. I don't keep up with names so well, so I apologize for that. I think one of the neatest things was that someone was giving updates on someone being very sick. And people from several beliefs came together to send thoughts, prayers, energy, and whatever to the person. I thought that was nice.

Most of my friends are Christians, and they all know I'd do anything for them. I even took a bullet for one once (though, in retrospect, I wish I would have just tackled her so the stupid thing would have missed us both). I love all kinds of people with all sorts of beliefs. Just because I don't agree with someone doesn't mean we can't be friends or that I don't respect them. We can, and I do.

I'm am an Atheist and I love my fellow brothers and sisters whether they believe in god or don't. I may think worship is a waste of time but I don't insult people. I just try and open people's eyes to the truth and help society advance further. Good question though! No matter what our differences are, we gotta love fellow man and chill with the insults.

No David was not Gay. You have to remember the eastern culture thousands of years ago and even today is completely different than ours. Even today heterosexual mens relationships look odd to us especially in North America. I lived in Argentina for years and even their culture shocked me at first. It is nothing for men to greet each other with kisses and embrace during difficult times. Saul was upset not because David and Jonothon were gay but because he saw Davis as a threat to take Johnathons throne. He saw that people loved David and that he was better equipped to rule. They had a great friendship that is to be admired. Friendships like these are rare in our culture today and that is why people try to pollute the text.

You seem like a nice person yourself. Gandalf's one liner's crack me up, as well as some of his questions. Murazor was kind enough to invite me to join the drinking game. I've exchanged emails & quips with Knoxville/Doomsday & with the squirrel (not Bad Squirrel). I am a born again Christian & these guys are atheists but we treat each other with respect.

Edit: I forgot about Deke (sorry, Deke). I've exchanged email with him also as well as U98. Both of them are cool.

I like it, Sweet simple and to the point. Now if only we could bring this kind of respect into our debates. Although I am new to this answers thingy, I have noticed that a lot of people are mean and disrespectful, I try to avoid those people. Thanks from a happy go lucky Pagan. Smooches!!!!
