I know exactly how you feel. I graduated high school 3 years ago and was terrified about entering the "real world," going off to college, leaving friends & family behind.
But you know what? It's not so scary, believe me. I was a complete mommy and daddy's girl in high school and didn't want to leave their side. I am now a junior at college that's about 3 hours from home and at first - not gonna lie - the adjustment was hard. But after realizing that living your own life, without the supervision of parents, is amazing. You will make so many new friends (keep the old ones too!), have new experiences and soon college will be more fun and exciting than you imagined :) I now have new friends, I've met my college sweetheart and I've learned a lot about myself along the way.
So to sum up - it's completely normal for you to experience these emotions but you will get through it - and in the end you'll realize that there was nothing to worry about in the first place :o)

Believe me, everything that you are feeling right now is completely normal. Graduation from high school is a huge step and while it is exciting and you know that you have done proper planning, there will be a lot of changes. These changes are great, but that doesn't make them any less scary.
You feel alone because you are probably getting ready to move out of your parents' home where you have felt safe and cared for with limited responsibility for the past 18 years. Either you are going to school, or you are getting a job, or joining the military, any of these things are changes and they take a bit of time to adjust to.
I graduated high school 11 years ago, have a family of my own and have owned several successful businesses, but I still sometimes long for the simpler days, and for my family. This doesn't diminish my current happiness, but makes me appreciate the opportunity that I had to grow up in such a great environment, and I occasionally think that I wish I had appreciated it more when I had it.
Congratulations on your graduation, enjoy your day, and while you are scared, a lot of that is excitement, you have so much to look forward too!

Don't worry its very normal i went through the same thing when i was about to graduate i think every1 does at first you can't wait for school to be over then when you actually get closer to school being over you actually wish you could go back and enjoy more time with your friends and the reason why you feel worried and vulnerable is because you won't see your friends as easily as you did while in school and we all worry about making an as out of our self's during graduation
don't worry you'll be fine just hang around your friends a Lil more often and you'll see is not just you going through this

CHANGE IS SCARY
You have spent most of your life going to school and now?
It is normal to be confused, your whole life is changing, new responsibilities, not seeing the same people, friends,
What will it be like at university or working a job, everything is new.
It can be hard to make the adjustments, but you will get used to a new way of life just as you did when you first had to adjust to first going to school all those years ago.
People do adapt to new things of they try, so give it a little while and you will look back and wonder why you were confused or worried.
Good luck

It's totally normal for you to feel this way, you're about to go out into the big wide world and that can be intimidating. Take comfort in your action plan for after high school, and know that you're not just going to be lost! Make a list of your accomplishments and special skills, and you'll be able to see that you're readier than you think to tackle life after high school. Don't worry, you're going through big changes right now and it really is normal to feel a littel scared or out-of-balance. Good luck!

Anytime you make a change in your life you're going to feel stress. You're going into the unknown, and no matter how much you plan for it, the unknown is scary because it's, well, unknown.
