I think they only answer I can give you is no...because nothing usually stays the same. If you think about it, the word "always" is a certanty and there are no sure things in life...but putting it in that sentence also sounds like an ultamatum...well my answer is no. The status quo can change, and can be changed.

No, they are getting old, as are we all.
Politically a status quo may be stable over long periods, by political agreement, or by a dynamic balance of factors (military, economic, cultural...)
But eventually change will creep in.
