The studio and crew eat the food or it gets taken home by staff. If there is a studio audience they are also given the food as well.

I'm sure the crew enjoys it to a point but you realize the lights they use give off enormous amounts of heat, right? So I would imagine much of it is either eaten quickly or it goes bad fast. Also a lot of times they make the same recipes numerous times for shows, they have different ones for different camera angles such as the close up. Maybe not all show, Emeril Live couldn't do such a thing but if you watch Food Network and especially their show Search for the Next Food Network Star they show a lot of what goes into making each show.

A lot of the food isn't even cooked properly, they just tell you to 'pretend I cooked these for 20 minutes' Sara Moulton does this. She has said she takes some of her food home to her husband for his dinner. Other than that, I'm sure the crew eats it, then it gets thrown away.

I can only guess. When I worked at the Culinary Institute, the leftovers went to the staff. I worked a party for the Mondavis once and got to eat the same food they did, only I had to eat it in the kitchen. Great way to taste great food...and get paid!
