...that illegal immigrants do not pay taxes? believe it or not, they actually do.

i admit most of them may not pay income taxes, but every time they go to the store and buy groceries or other items, they are forced to pay a tax like the rest of us as it is included in the total when they ring people up at the counter.

what do you think?

Because some illegals have fake or stolen credentials some do pay taxes. The average income tax paid is 4500 dollars for the year. The average cost of social services used by an illegal is 7000 per year.
This of course means that as far as that portion of it goes they cost other tax payers 3500 on average each.
Now of course they pay some sales tax.
However how much does the average illegal make?
We know that much of their income is sent back to Mexico and other countries they are from.
Also we have to know some states do not have sales tax on food items or have reduced tax on those. Last I knew Texas had no sales tax on foods for instance not sure if that is still the case.
So does this really add up to enough to offset all the other costs? thats questionable.
even if they spent 20000 dollars on sales taxable goods in the USA ( which is doubtful given average wage and that some is sent back home) it wouldnt add up to more than 1500 dollars, which is 2000 dollars less than the deficit they leave still.

I think even though they may pay taxes, they get more government assistance than they pay. I think mexicans get the rap because they march and demand rights they have not earned,I think if they wouldnt burn our flag and take advantage of government assistance they would probably be more accepted,I think Americans should be more concerned with the silent muslims and chinese ,and so should the illegals yelling Laraza,If you think about the immigration bill,it doesent just mean mexicans will get the right to become citizens it means all nationalities will, and if you think about that, its scarry.Because who knows how many terrorists are already in this country with the border being open?I have friends who are mexican, wonderful people, they dont even want this immigration bill to pass,it would mean they were legal and would have to sign up for the draft,it would mean they would have to pay taxes,Bush wants slaves and the politicicians want votes,I THINK Americans should help the people of Mexico get their government back in their hands instead of the rich politicians.

I think the concern is more on the "Other" taxes... A good bit, and I am not saying all, but a good bit of illegal immigrants work under the table and receive assistance from the state and government agencies that Tax payers dollars go to support. Although, they themselves do not contribute to these taxes. Just b/c they paid 7% on the dollar for a bag of chips dosen't mean they are doing their part. On the other hand you have low income LEGAL/TAX PAYING/HARD WORKING famlies that don't make enough to make it day to day, yet make to much to recieve assistance from the state or government. These illegal immigrants are handed help from all resources for sake of saving face and avoiding being labled racist.

From Wikipedia, encyclopedia

Illegal immigration

Illegal immigration refers to immigration across national borders in a way that violates the immigration laws of the destination country. Under this definition, an illegal immigrant is a foreigner who either illegally crossed an international political border, be it by land, sea or air, or a foreigner who legally entered a country but nevertheless overstay their visa in order to live and/or work therein. In politics, the term may imply a larger set of social issues and time constraints with disputed consequences in areas such as economy, social welfare, education, health care, slavery, prostitution, crime, legal protections, public services, and human rights. Illegal emigration would be leaving a country in a manner that violates the laws of the country being left.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING HERE ANYWAYS!!!!
That's what I think??
We the Taxpayers have to pay to send them back.
How can they pay tax's if they are Illegally here in the first place?
They have no papers or record of employment!
ONCE AGAIN SCAMMING OUR GOVERNMENTS!!!!!

Sure, some illegal immigrants pay taxes on their income. Unfortunately, as a whole, they use more in social services than they pay in taxes. So that being the case, they really aren't contributing.

Thats a local tax dude. Then they go to the emergency room to fix a cold and the FEDS pay for that. They don't pay the same amount of taxes as working Americans do. I would bet they use more money than they contribute, probably 10 fold. Sorry thought process try again.

You cannot be here and purchase anything and not in one way or another pay taxes. They tax us to death. Comming and going. Problem is depending on where you live...these taxes go for just city, county, state, whatever funds. The big one is federal. Which is "income tax". Both federal and state in some places. Sales tax doesn't pay for schools or government services. Which is social security, welfare, medical etc.

Sales tax goes for a park...flowers in the medium...a new welcome to Hootersville sign...it preserves trees, funds zoos, gives state people raises......pays for some statue in a center square, pays for the drivers of officials, puts in a bike path..... it's the flame on the candle of the highly decorated cake of life. Sometimes it does go to things where it's matched by federal funds...but not often.

Those taxes are not even from state to state...or even from county to county. Some states charge nothing for food, unless it's prepared. Some states don't charge for clothing unless it's sport related. Nothing is the same. Now if you live in a state where tourism is a big deal and fishing and camping are a major source of income....they tax you on those things in order to get more money to support those things. Get it?

Schools etc. as far as I know....and this is just an example....property taxes for single family home. A single family home is supposed to have 2.5 children. So they tax you figuring that is going to cover the cost of 2.5 kids in the education part of the taxes. But if there are 6.8 kids living in a house being taxed for 2.5 kids.....there's a problem. That's why there are poor areas screaming about how their schools aren't being funded as well as others. DUGH!!!!!! You can't expect to get out more than what you put in.

But because we must be fair.....they did that too. Problem is......if there's a computer going into Naperville HS....they respect it. In another neighborhood it's carved on and blown up because they're poor and ticked about it. It doesn't help when we have a neighborhood in which there's a choice......new technology or ESL classes. So far it's been ESL classes......and nothing is getting BETTER. Now we have poor kids with no computer skills that can't speak English or Spanish enough to get along in the world. Can't read...can't make change.......either.

Then they'll do BUSSING. Did that and all it did was drag the middle kids to nothing while the rich then put their kids in PRIVATE schools. Which then led to "charter schools" and all that. DOESN"T WORK!!!!!

I know when I was young.....that was the big thing parents did.......it was house for sale in some #1 school district and you moved there so your child would get a chance. NOT to come in and make it a LATINO school or any other school. It was a success.......don't F with it.!!!!!! Oh no......seriously......I've seen the best cities to live in drop from #1 to nothing simply because people moved there and destroyed what made it #1.

I saw Sioux City Iowa turn into a barrio overnight. Now I'm watching what is considered a rich community go to hell from corruption...in less than a year....

I saw a BAD Chicago school....go from bad to good.....then have latinos out right take over.....now it's over-populated and failing. Not only did they kick the whites out.....they kicked the blacks out.....but they WON!!!!!! YEE-HAW....they WON!!!!!! But they can't fund it now.;
Now they're whining about "fairness".... You can't take out more than you put in. You don't bite the hand that feeds you.

We have TOURISTS paying TONS in sales taxes......their kids don't get free education or free medical as a result of that.

I think the tax they are not paying is being consumed by the employers itself as they discriminate them heavily. So basically they get the salary after tax deduction but government don't get the taxes as it remains with the employers.

The little bit of taxes they pay in a store is nothing compared to the taxes the Americans have to pay for the illegals being here. Education for their children, social programs etc. etc. Let's also not forget the higher gas prices and the cost of jailing them when they commit crimes. The list goes on and on and i'm sick of supporting them when I can barely support my own.
