I've liked her for ages but nothing came of it so I guess me and her are just friends. So anyway, I asked this other girl out. On the day of the 'date' something compelled me to call up my friend and talk to her. I was feeling insecure and my friend said 'i'm sure she likes you, you're a good guy'. Then that same evening she called me up asking how the night went and she said 'i'm always here for you'. A few days later she called me up again to ask whether I liked this new girl. Could she finally have feelings for me or is she just being a good friend? Am I reading too much into this?

I hate to say this but I think your reading in to this too much. Girls are possessive by nature and we know when a guy is interested in us. She just jealous that she's not # 1 on your list any more and she wants to keep you hanging on.

My guess..... NO she doesn't like you like that she is just jealous she doesn't want some chick coming into the picture and taking away her man.... in her eyes you are hers and shes scared someone else will have you, she is scared that you will love someone other then her..... i know because i was that girl once.... some girl came and took away my best guy friend so i go scared and told him that i was in love with him so we ended up dating for like 3 weeks and i wanted things the way they were.... us just being friends and him just loving me....... well needless to say i broke his heart into pieces and we have NEVER been the same since..... he rarely talked to me after that and now that were out of high school he doesn't talk to me at all... i haven't seen him in like 2 years.... its really sad.... we were best friends that could tell each other anything...... please go on with your life and date women...... don't let her break her heart like i broke his! you are worth more then that.

hmmm....thats a toughie..it could be either wayy. theres a good chance that she's jealous of u and ur new girl...she mite hve been playing hard 2 get or w/e b4...on the other hand she could just be being friendly. is she friends wit this other girl? cuz she could be looking out 4 her friend and making sure u really like her..does she have a bf?? details matter!

she wants what she can't have - when u liked her before, she could probably tell and probably enjoyed it. girls are always flattered by those things! she never thought of the possibility of u liking someone else, so now that u r going out with a diff. girl, the old one is panicking and trying to win u back. jealousy! she is slightly resentful that u got over her and she probably doesn't want this new relationship to work out. im sure u could win her heart if u wanted to! (well, u already have won her heart, but u could def. go out with her!)

I've always wondered why girls always did that.. i dont know..maybe she wants more, but is unsure..but she's def. playing with ur mind. I wldnt read too much into it unless the signs become waaaaaaaaay obvious. Girls do stuff like that A LOT!

I'd say it could go either way. She may just be suportive and is being a really good friend, but she could also have feelings for you. I would ask her out!

She sounds like she's just being a good friend but who knows love shows in mysterious ways :)

Just being a good friend. Now don't listen to me and see if she wants to go out.

i know you might not want 2 hear this but i think she was just being a good friend.i talk to my friends that way all the time and i would never think of it as 'giving them a hint'.
