Sure wish they made them. I seem to prefer the taste of a burnt chip.
Do you?

Wow, I can't believe there are other burnt potato chip lovers out there...lol. I used to eat Wise chips, or Charles chips, you'd always manage to find a few in those brands. Now, it seems like no one burns them anymore. Wish I could find normal chips (not the crunchy kind, I hate those) that specialize in being slightly burnt.

I'd buy them, too. I'm weird about food like that. I like most things cold. I drink soda hot. Burnt foods are some of my favorite. I love burnt cheese. If I could order a burnt cheese sausage pizza then get it home and eat it cold with hot Dr. Pepper I'd be quite happy.

There is a small shop near me that makes them--they are worth every calorie!

Do you have UTZ brand in your stores? They make a russet dark brown (in a dark brown bag) that tastes like the burnt chips you probably want.

I guess not enough people liked them. They used to sell, maybe ten years ago, them and I loved them. Then they disappeared. The dark brown chips are the best. But the quality control has almost eliminated them. What a shame.

Some chips are salter then others. The best way to make sure your chips aren't super salty is to read the back of the box/bag. (nutrition facts) And yes, sometimes I get too salty of chips that make my tongue burn of salt.

Absolutely! I always pick the burnt ones out first before anyone else can eat them...I am the same way about half-popped popcorn kernels!
