Here's the situation...
I'm in love with my cheating ex-boyfriend.
My best friend is in love with me
My ex only loves me as a friend but his last words to me before he officially dumped me were "There will always be...something..."
I want to get back together with my ex....
And my best friend who's madly in love with me has asked me out.

So....should I go out with him? Please answer by saying "Yes" or "No", but please feel free to elaborate a little :)

If you are still in love with your ex, your going to end up hurting your bestfriend, and not only ending the relationship, but losing your friendship entirely. If you're going to go into a relationship with anyone it should be because thats what your heart is saying. Not because your ex doesn't want you. Just because he said there will always be something, doesn't mean its something you're going to except. It could be, 'something' along the lines of keeping in touch, staying friends? Hes a cheater, and he doesn't have your best interest at heart. You're best friend seems like a nice guy, but until your ready to forget about your ex, you can forget about a future relationship.

I choose elaboration, If your ex-boyfriend is the jealous type go out with your best friend. If not give your best friend a chance my friend was in a situation like this way back and now he married his best friend. Different things can happen. But even as a guy i've learned Once a Cheater Always a Cheater is true.

It sounds like your ex just want to keep an hold on you. Go out with your friend have fun. Just let him know that you are not sure if you want to be more then friends, but tell him that you both can go out an have some fun together. Who knows you just mite find some one that rocks your world more then your ex ever did.

I think you should go out with your best friend since he is madly in love with you and there is always the possiblity of him treating you right and not like your ex-boyfriend.

Go out with your friend- he sounds like a nice respectable guy. I wouldn't recommend getting back together with the ex, especially since he cheated on you.

If your ex was cheating on you, he isn't worth a second chance. It will only end in more heartache. Try going out w/ your friend. It sounds at though he will respect you and trust you, unlike your ex. Give him a chance.

Yes - go out with your friend. Drop your ex like a bad habit (and don't go back), it'll be empowering.

yes go out with your best friend. he wants to make you happy and take care of your needs. your ex knows he can have you when he wants to, so that is why he is playing with your emotions. bd
