Water. I'm not opposed to having an alcoholic beverage or two when the time and place are right for it, but before a long flight it's important to be hydrated. It can help prevent deep-vein thrombosis.

A couple of bloody marys at a bar in the airport. (Or three). I sleep during the flight and my flights are so long that I'm fine and rested when I arrive.
