Not fair, and until we decide we have had enough, it will continue because our politicians just see potential voters.(God bless them wonderful Democrats)

End of the day it's a global village. If corporations are given global access and all they have to pay tax to local governments. Why not the same approach to individuals? Immigration is a tough choice on individuals also and they go for it only when they are willing to take the challenge or that's the only hope they are left with. Today people are willing to come to US and US should be proud about that and try to retain that competitive edge over other countries. Tomorrow it may be China or India or EU. In fact in big corporations it's already a huge advantage if you have international working experience! So my thought is very simple, make is as independent as it can be and let individuals compete and choose and that's how a country and eventually world economy will prosper. So it's always fair when it's less restrictive and open for all.

Well the Mexicans didn't pass the laws we did. Hard to blame the Mexicans who come over here and take what we give them. I am mad at Washington. But everyone is so busy voting for their party and making sure the other party doesn't win that no one considers the best candidate. Even when we pass laws to secure the boarder nothing happens. We pass a law to build a fence. We finally got the funds to build the fence. Do you think anyone is getting ready to build it. Do you think anyone is even putting together contractor packages and putting the project out to bid. Noooooo!
They are getting ready to pass that horrid amnesty bill in Washington soon and everyone knows its not the will of the majority but politicians are out for Washington and their political party theses days and to hell with the people. Washington is so corrupt noting but a civil war and overthrow of the government will change anything. Sending emails to my congressman, mayor, or Governor never seems to do any good.

Many illegals end up paying taxes, but not filing returns.

Yes, there are minority-favoring laws that are blatant violations of the 'equal protection' gauranteed by the 14th Amendment (originally meant to protect minorities). At some point, enough people might realize that to repeal them.

None of what you have said is true. You a disservice to all those who have legitimate opposition to immigration reform by spreading outright lies, and xenophobic paranoia. Stop with Limbaugh type BS and do some real research before you open your mouth. Expert economists have evaluated the immigration issue and determined that immigration, both illegal and legal, on the whole, contributes a surplus to our nations economy. Get it? Experts! Not talk show hosts. I suppose you would also let Ann Coulter give you medical advice. Spread truth for a change.

My grandparents on my father's side immigrated here from Norway. They followed the laws and became citizens legally.

I think the laws of a country should apply to everyone in that country, otherwise why have them or have any type of a system in place to carrying them out.

They file for earned income tax. Which is a credit usually received when you have children. (there are other instances as to who is eligible.) Some refunds are close to 5,000 per year.

As for the whole issue...that's quite a debate to get into..I am mexican american. But...how can you just demand rights into a country? I guess it would kinda be like sneaking into Germany, no passport, and demanding the same. I really don't understand it all.

No, it's terribly unfair, and I know the two reasons politicians are allowing it to happen.

First, neither party wants to lose the Hispanic vote. That is just reprehensible. When I vote, I don't look for what the candidate will do for me, but what is best for the country.

Secondly, our country needs to keep wages low so we can keep exporting goods, to China and elsewhere. By this huge influx of cheap labor, the wages are being kept artificially low, but we will pay a huge price later. Think of what happened to France. Back in the 1950's, they let in millions of Muslims to work in their factories. They needed cheap labor. Boy, are they ever paying the price now for that "cheap" labor.

It is not fair that they come and work illegally
What I don't get is..How can they get a refund if they don't pay taxes or file income tax?
Minority laws are only for legal aliens..aren't they?

ok, so who needed imigrants coming to this country, picking their green beans, apples fields, caring for their babies, cleaning their houses.who started that long ago?this world belongs to know one -but God.i do agree they should be legal. and pay into the system. if not legal, when they are robbed they won't call the police for protection ,and as a result more criminals are not sent to jail.get out there a vote.and if you want to treat someone equally -get to know the as much about them as possible.how ticked off did you get when the goverment just lost billions of dollars on one of our own ships, and the taxpayers are paying to replace it? don't just single out a group of people. Each and every race ,has good and bad men and women.within them! Everyone has a right to a better life!

i agree. we should all have the same laws. and they should have alot stricter consequnces for border jumping. maybe they should be considered enemies and be able to be killed for crossing the border. that would make a statement and maybe less would do it. also, i think instead of spending so much on other projects (like how much are we giving africa for AIDS that was discussed at the Sumit meeting?) invest that in electric fences. that will be sure to stop them.
